Once again summer is upon us and people are ready to have a roaring fun time. But what differentiates this summer from the summer of a year ago and even two years ago is the fact that there are no longer any restrictions to speak of – and what a blessed relief ! Now is the best time to plan something, whether it’s a business or social gathering (or both!). And speaking of summer, outdoor gatherings are the norm, as everyone can soak up some sunshine while mingling and mingling with everyone else. But when it comes to event ideas for the season, there are some classic ones, but there are some new ones too. So what’s on the list? Here are the hottest summer event and gathering ideas for 2022.

A summer luau

Speaking of summer, what better way to kick off the season than with a summer luau? For those who don’t know or aren’t sure, a luau is a Hawaiian-style party! If you want something equally exciting and nostalgic, you can host another favorite early summer event: a derby. People will love going to the derby in their favorite hats, and you can even have a contest for the best hats. Of course, the best setting for a derby is a grassy field or meadow, and you can serve canapes and nibbles, lots of champagne and rose, and even a sangria or two.

Another popular event worth mentioning is a scavenger hunt. This event is particularly important because it is excellent for promote this team spirit and allows people to network at the same time. For big events it’s even better because you can mix everyone into teams. And here’s the thing – even if you have a smaller room at first, who says you have to stick with it? You can expand the scavenger hunt all over town, and your participants will not only get a chance to stretch their legs, but they’ll also get a chance to get to know other people and improve their social skills.
