Robot helps Botetourt County overcome staffing shortages by painting sports fields

Botetourt County has found an innovative solution to labor shortages in turf management with the grass tank line drawing robot. It automates the process of painting lines on sports fields, ensuring all projects are completed on time at county parks, schools and sports complexes, adhering to the sporting event schedule.

The device helps the county manage a few dozen fields.

He can paint a football pitch in about 20 minutes and it’s now a one-person job. Before, it could take several people several hours.
