Many of us have our favorite brands that always have at least one thing we want to add to our shopping carts. But as we age, it’s natural for our tastes and style to change, which can leave us feeling a little lost when it comes to buying clothes.
Writer Emma Gannon understood this when she tweeted that she felt “a bit in between” in age. “I don’t know where to buy my clothes anymore,” she began. “I don’t want to wear the clothes I loved when I was 20 anymore, but I’m not able to pull off the ‘cool 40s’ look yet either.”
I no longer know where to buy my clothes. Has anyone written about that feeling – when you feel a bit “in between” in your 30s? I don’t want to wear the clothes I loved when I was in my twenties anymore, but I’m not able to pull off the “cool 40s” look yet either.

Emma, we hear you. And many other women did the same, who commented on the post reassuring themselves that they felt the same way.
So we thought we’d give you a hand and asked YOU’s fashion editor Sophie Dear for her boutique recommendations for women over 30 and how to style a more mature outfit. That’s what she said…
“With fast fashion slowly but surely taking over the high street, hemlines are getting shorter, sizes less forgiving and styles more extravagant. As a woman over 30, I sometimes feel like the main street caters less and less to our age group. But don’t worry, here are the 11 boutiques for women over 30 that are doing chic at an affordable price.
