The Baron Corbin Fund and Other Fun Ideas WWE Should Have Done More With

WWE is called World Wrestling Entertainment because the last word is an integral part of the product. Over the years, the company’s target audience has changed, but WWE spares no effort to make its segments as good as possible using original ideas.

WWE loves experimenting with new things to see what works and what doesn’t. If a new idea works perfectly, WWE usually tries to stick with it to elevate a wrestler’s character or improve the entertainment part. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes they give up sooner than they should have after introducing fun ideas.

8 Billy Kay’s Resume

Billie Kay's Resume

After The IIconics split, they were expected to do well as singles superstars. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, but WWE did experiment with a new idea for the character of Billie Kay.

Billie Kay brought her resume every week. She would show her resume to different superstars hoping they would line up with her, but everyone rejected her. Billie Kay with a resume was a completely different idea, and it was fun to watch. It ended too quickly as WWE took out Billie Kay.

6 Mandy Rose – Otis Romance

Otis and Mandy Rose

Mandy Rose is thriving in NXT right now. When she was on the main roster, her romantic history with Otis was definitely the most memorable part of her career. Since the beginning of the romantic angle, it was over. Fans have always loved and encouraged them. They also had a happy ending at WrestleMania 36, where they kissed.

Even though they were such a popular couple, their romance didn’t last long after WrestleMania 36. WWE could have done a lot more with them as a couple.

5 Brock Party

Brock Party

While Brock Lesnar is fun to watch right now with a new look and as a babyface, he certainly showed a glimpse of it in 2019, fresh off winning the Money in the Bank briefcase. The Beast Incarnate showed off his character’s fun side by using the Money in the Bank briefcase.

He used the briefcase as a boombox and even danced in the ring, which was unthinkable for many fans. Lesnar wore a new Brock Party t-shirt to compliment the character. He quit the fun version of Brock Party after cashing in the Money in the Bank contract at Extreme Rules.

4 Sami Zayn’s electric chair

Sami Zayn electric chair

Sami Zayn sat in an electric chair during an episode of RAW. The idea was amazing because the audience got a chance to ask the superstars questions, giving fans an old-school vibe. Sami Zayn sat down to answer questions from the WWE Universe and as a heel hit everyone.

In fact, Sami Zayn mentioned AEW during the Electric Chair episode. WWE stopped doing the electric chair Q&A segment after just one episode, although many fans loved it.

3 Doctor of Thuganomics

John Cena

Yes, John Cena was a longtime Doctor of Thuganomics early in his WWE career. However, once he went babyface and became the poster child for society, he didn’t bring it back. While the Doctor of Thuganomics made appearances afterwards, these were only special appearances.

Many fans consider the Doctor of Thuganomics to be more entertaining than the nice Cena. WWE should have given the Doctor of Thuganmics a long run after 2005. Imagine the rapper version of Cena cutting promos against Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and many more.

2 Dolph Ziggler impersonates other superstars

Ziggler as a Warrior

Dolph Ziggler released a new gadget in 2017 that was fun to watch. Claiming that fans only cared about flashy entrances and not in-ring dexterity, he began impersonating the entrances of other WWE Superstars. He impersonated Goldberg, John Cena, Naomi, The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels and many more.

Although it was an act to create heel heat, the entrances were fun to watch and Ziggler did a wonderful job imitating other wrestlers. But he stopped doing it after a few weeks.
