By Jasmin Jackson (April 13, 2022, 5:10 p.m. EDT) – The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has invalidated two claims in a t-shirt printing patent claimed against Neenah Stationery, determining the elements of the method of inventor’s image transfer were anticipated by prior publication.
In a judgment on Tuesday, the PTAB’s three-judge panel struck down part of inventor Jodi A. Schwendimann’s patent – U.S. Patent No. 7,008,746 – which covered the image-linking components of a sheet of transfer and the corresponding technique used to apply an image to articles of Clothing.
